ZOX Village
Song royalties already bought a green building in Long Island City — off this map. That apartment rent lands every season. The opening jar covers the first two acres. After that, net income buys more farmland.
This board is the aerial corridor from Detroit down toward Toledo and east to Jersey City, played across four decades (20 seasons). Every farmland square on the mosaic is for sale. Click one and its title deed pops: cost, the farmer who owns it, and the acres. Hold the card, or move it to Purchase when the jar can cover it. Click a deed to see the farm. Five seasons convert a farm. Named squares along the dashed rail light solid when they mature. At those stops you can fund an eco-village: site, then framing, then open. An open village pays lease into the jar, or you can sell it — the station stays, and the rail is still built later. Compost, power, orchards, and homes stay on the farm board.
The ledger is the reason to wait: traditional pays fertilizer, synthetic nitrogen, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, diesel, seed, and irrigation chemicals. Regenerative pays $0 for those, because animals graze the residue and manure stays. Nutrition is 1× vs 6×. Net is $8k vs $16k per acre.
Win when one season sequesters enough carbon and population health is high enough. Decade 1 converts soil; the carbon gate needs a run of mature acres after that. Stay in the black. Soft fails: broke, waste disaster, or time runs out after four decades.

Why wait five years
Same season, three books. Harvest is cash. The chem bill is why the old model stays thin.

Earth wins count carbon locked in soil this season: mature regen farms sequester the most, converting farms less, orchards and standing groves add a little.
Population wins count additional nutrition above a traditional baseline. Mature Zox food is 6× traditional nutrition; converting farms are about 2×. More mature farms means more extra nutrition delivered.
Crop rent (on Next Season) is separate cash — animals graze the stubble and leave manure; that rent shows on the income strip.
The corridor win still needs a strong carbon season and high Health at once — this popup shows every season’s score along the way.
